Last week we shared 7 Tips to Work Towards a Positive Mindset. Let’s dig a little deeper and look at the first tip: Start the day with a positive affirmation.
Daily Positive Affirmation Habits
An affirmation gives us conscious control of our thoughts, an opportunity to change what we think and our mindset (attitudes, beliefs, disposition and mood). An affirmation is the ‘action or application’ piece of a positive mindset. Read more about affirmations here.
‘I am’ statements give us the strength to change those things we can. They are short, simple, and positive. They express gratitude for the things in our life, including our personality strengths, that motivate us to be the best person possible with the ‘circumstance’ or ‘people we are’. Focusing on our strengths will build those strengths and give us motivation to improve our weaknesses.
We encourage you to begin your day with a meditation or positive reading that will help you develop your affirmation for the day.
